ABOUT THE ATTORNEY
HANNAH L. CAMENZIND
Hannah L. Camenzind, born and raised in Brevard, NC, has deep roots and family ties within the community. Her higher education began at Brevard College, and she completed her undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
After her undergraduate studies, Hannah worked for Mr. Gayle E. Ramsey at Ramsey & Pratt, P.A., (the predecessor to Ramsey, Pratt & Camenzind, P.A.). This experience convinced her to pursue a legal career and she attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her legal education and was sworn into the North Carolina State Bar in 2010. Hannah is married and has three young children.
Prior to returning to Brevard, Hannah served as the Director of Student Services at the University of North Carolina School of Law. In 2017, she joined Ramsey & Pratt, P.A., and returned home.

ABOUT THE STAFF
KARLA
Karla brings a wealth of experience and a warm, approachable demeanor to our firm. Originally from Wisconsin, Karla dedicated 18 years of her career to serving in the public school systems of Oklahoma and Kansas. Karla moved to Brevard in 2018 and joined Ramsey, Pratt & Camenzind, P.A., the same year.

Karla is married and has two adult daughters, one living in Atlanta, GA, and one living in Amsterdam. Karla has made a significant impact during her time here. Starting as a receptionist, she is now managing the estate planning team. Karla is well known for her approachable nature and adeptness at establishing rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
​
Karla has an exceptional ability to connect with people. Coupled with her knack of having her finger on the pulse of our community, she has earned the affectionate moniker of the beloved character "Donna" from the show “Suits."
​
Karla's understanding of the inner workings of our office makes her indispensable to both colleagues and clients. She strives to ensure that every client at Ramsey, Pratt & Camenzind, P.A., not only receives exceptional legal services, but also feels genuinely cared for and supported.
CINDY
Cindy, a legal assistant at Ramsey, Pratt, & Camenzind, P.A., was born in Chapel Hill, NC, while her father was in law school. Upon his graduation, he and his family moved to Brevard to work at the predecessor to Ramsey, Pratt & Camenzind, P.A., where he practiced from 1959, until his death in 1995. Cindy spent lots of time in this building during her childhood and she worked for the firm during her high school summers.

Continuing her education at UNC, Cindy became involved as a student manager for the national championship men's lacrosse team. She returned to Brevard in 1990 to raise her three children. Cindy's journey came full circle when she came back to work at the firm in 2015. She assisted Mr. Ramsey and Hannah in real estate and has since transitioned into estate planning and estate administration.

Cindy is known for her intelligence and strong work ethic, making her a reliable anchor during times of transition here at the firm. Whether it's adapting to new procedures or supporting colleagues through organizational shifts, Cindy's steadfastness and competence make her an invaluable asset to the team.
STACEY
Stacey serves as a legal assistant, specializing in estate and trust administration. After graduating from Appalachian State University, she spent 15 years with the NASCAR marketing team before transitioning to the real estate industry and eventually settling into her current role at Ramsey, Pratt & Camenzind, P.A., and once again calling Brevard home.

Stacey and Hannah have been friends since high school, and have worked together in various capacities over the years; from stuffing envelopes for a realtor while in high school, working as actors in the Tweetsie Railroad Ghost Train in Blowing Rock, NC, and working in the NASCAR ticket office one summer in Daytona Beach, FL.
​
Stacey's compassionate nature shines through in her work, complementing her extensive experiences across different sectors. From the fast-paced world of NASCAR to the intricate workings of estate administration, she brings a unique perspective and a range of skills to her role.

ESTATE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION
​Established in 1927 by Ralph H. Ramsey, Jr., our firm boasts a rich history of providing legal services to this community. Over the years, the firm has expanded to include the following partners: Cecil J. Hill, John K. Smart, Jr., Gayle E. Ramsey, and Michael K. Pratt. In 2017, then-practicing members Gayle E. Ramsey and Michael K. Pratt welcomed Hannah L. Camenzind to the firm, and she became a partner in 2020. Since then, Gayle and Michael have retired, and Hannah is now the sole practicing member of the firm.
